Mr. Wayne P. Gdovic

Mr. Gdovic was named the superintendent of the South Park School District on June 9, 2016. He comes to the South Park School District from the South Allegheny School District where he was named the superintendent in 2010 after serving as the acting superintendent for one year. Mr. Gdovic received a bachelor's degree and Master of Education from the University of Pittsburgh. While at the University of Pittsburgh, he earned his superintendent's letter of eligibility.

Ms. Chelsea Campolongo

At its regular meeting on Thursday, March 9, 2017, the South Park School District Board of Directors named Chelsea Campolongo as the next Business Manager of the South Park School District. Ms. Campolongo arrived at the South Park School District in July 2016 as the Assistant Business Manager. Before joining South Park, she worked as a senior software consultant at Sungard K-12. She previously worked as a fiscal specialist at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA degree with a focus in management.

Dr. David S. Palmer
South Park High School Principal

Dr. David S. Palmer became the principal of South Park High School in October 2015. Dr. Palmer previously served as principal at Deer Lakes High School and at Burgettstown Middle/High School. Dr. Palmer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in English writing and a Master of Education from California University of Pennsylvania. He earned his doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh in June 2017. As South Park High School principal, Dr. Palmer facilitates and oversees the educational program to ensure it is delivered to every South Park High School student with fidelity.

Mr. Justin Dellarose
South Park High School Assistant Principal

Mr. Justin Dellarose arrived at South Park High School as assistant principal in August 2013. Mr. Dellarose began his career as a classroom teacher for 6 years. He also served as the dean of students, assistant principal and principal at Brownsville Area High School. He holds a Master of Education from California University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kevin M. Monaghan
South Park Middle School Principal

Mr. Kevin Monaghan came to the South Park School District in August 2004. He served as the assistant middle school principal before being named South Park Middle School principal in 2007. He began his career as a biology/life science teacher with the South Fayette School District. He also served as secondary assistant principal at Fort Cherry. While at South Park, he oversaw the implementation of new math and ELA programs for grades 5-8. Mr. Monaghan also serves as crisis prevention and intervention instructor and the district's federal programs coordinator.

Mrs. Lynn Como
South Park Middle School Assistant Principal

The South Park School District Board of Directors hired Mrs. Lynn Como as assistant principal of South Park Middle School on Monday, June 18, 2018. Mrs. Como joined South Park in 2001 and has spent 17 years at South Park Middle School, teaching primarily sixth grade and eighth grade math.
Mrs. Como graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in elementary education, earned a certification for middle-level mathematics, and earned her master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in educational administration.
Mrs. Como and her husband reside in South Park with their children. Three of their children have graduated from South Park High School. Her other three children are students at South Park Middle School and South Park Elementary Center.
As assistant principal, Mrs. Como says her vision is to work collaboratively with others to help the district move forward and to build solid programs designed to prepare students.

Dr. L. Robert Furman

Dr. L. Robert Furman became South Park Elementary Center principal in 2006. Dr. Furman holds a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University, a Master of Science degree from Duquesne University, and a Doctorate from Duquesne University. As South Park Elementary Center principal, Dr. Furman has made it his mission to bring literacy to the forefront of school culture. Because of his achievements, he was asked to serve on the Scholastic Publishing principal advisory board to share ideas to foster a successful literacy culture with other schools.

Ms. Kathleen Wooddell
Director of Special Education

Ms. Kathleen Wooddell became the South Park School District's director of special education in 2013. Ms. Wooddell graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in special education. Before arriving at the South Park School District, Ms. Wooddell served as the Pittsburgh Public School District's program officer for programs for students with exceptionalities. At South Park, Ms. Wooddell develops special education programs and monitors the development and implementation of individualized education plans with administrators and teachers.

Mr. Thomas Kayda
Athletic/Student Activities Director

Mr. Thomas Kayda was named Athletic/Student Activities Director in August 2015. He served as the athletic director at the Ligonier Valley School District for two years and assistant athletic director with the Shaler Area School District for three years. Mr. Kayda oversees the district's student athletes and teams. He schedules the district's facilities for both in and out of district organizations and communicates information about athletics and activities to the community.

Mr. Christian Engelbert
Director of Technology

Christian Engelbert joined the South Park School District as technology director
over the summer. He previously served as the technology integration specialist
at the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. Christian earned master’s degrees in IT
project management and information systems management from Robert Morris
University.

Mr. Jason Giuntini
Assistant Maintenance/Facilities Director

Mr. Jason Giuntini was named the assistant director of facilities in July 2014. He is responsible for overseeing and managing the heating and cooling systems as well as refrigeration in all district buildings. Mr. Giuntini attended Gateway Technical Institute and the Steamfitters Local 449 Technology Center. He has 25 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration and is a 16 year member of Steamfitters Local 449.
