With the extension of a waiver by the United States Department of Agriculture, school meals for all South Park students will be free for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. Previously, the waiver was set to expire on December 31, 2020 or when federal funding ran out. This means that each South Park student can receive a free breakfast and a free lunch each school day. This applies for all students who are learning in school or at home.

Students who are attending in-person classes in a South Park school are able to receive one (1) free breakfast and one (1) free lunch each school day from the school cafeteria. Students may purchase additional lunches; however, only one (1) lunch is free per day.

For all South Park students, whether they are enrolled in the hybrid model or the South Park Cyber Academy, the district’s drive-through service will continue to be offered. In November, the drive-through service will be available on:

Monday, November 2 from 1-2 p.m.

Wednesday, November 4 from 1-2 p.m.

Monday, November 9 from 1-2 p.m.

Friday, November 13 from 11 a.m.- noon

Monday, November 16 from 1-2 p.m.

Wednesday, November 18 from 1-2 p.m.

Friday, November 20 from 11 a.m.-noon

Monday, November 23 from 1-2 p.m.

Families are asked to complete this electronic form (click here) and indicate the days when they will utilize the district’s drive-through meal service in November. Families are asked to complete one form for each child. The deadline to complete the form for next-day meals is at 3 p.m. the prior business day. A single form can be completed for the entire month by selecting which days you will be picking up meals. Families participating in this drive-through meal distribution on the South Park High School campus should make the first left after turning onto the high school campus. Proceed to the side of the high school building nearest to the elementary center. View a map here.

All meals provided will follow the National School Lunch Program guidelines. This free-meal waiver only applies to complete meals. Students will be required to pay for any a la carte purchases made in our school cafeterias.

Extra meals will be provided in meal packs for non-pick up, school days.
