South Park High School English and Special Education Department
Hello, my name is Carolyn Foley and this is my second year teaching at South Park High School. I graduated from Penn State University in 2012 with a degree in Secondary Education English and Communication. I earned my Masters in Education in Special Education from California University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Before coming to South Park, I taught language arts and digital photography in the Penn Hills school district, and I also spent time working in the city of Pittsburgh in an emotional support classroom. I am extremely excited to be continuing my career in the South Park School District.
I currently teach Ninth Grade General English, Learning Support English 10-12, and Resource Study Hall. I am also one of the Special Education case managers for the eleventh grade students at South Park High School. My favorite part of teaching at South Park is being able to be part of a community that extends beyond the boundaries of campus. I believe that students learn best when they are thought of as individuals, provided with clear expectations, and fostered with positive reinforcement. Outside of school, I live in the city of Pittsburgh and enjoy spending time with my cat Stella, reading and cooking. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Here's to a great school year,
