At the annual reorganization meeting on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, the South Park School District Board of Directors elected leadership for 2024. The board re-appointed Mr. John Innocenti as president and appointed Mr. Nicholas Rudolph as vice president. Mrs. Brenda Lindsay was appointed as assistant board secretary. Mr. Patrick Sable was re-appointed as the legislative representative to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. Mr. Wayne Perry was re-appointed as the Steel Center for Career and Technical Education board and the SHASDA (South Hills Area School District Association) representative.
The Honorable Richard D. Olasz administered the oath of office to new members Mr. David Guisti and Mr. Gary Smith, as well as Mrs. Lindsay and Mr. Rudolph, who were re-elected. Mrs. Angela Girol, who also was re-elected, was administered the oath of office by the Honorable Michael Thatcher on Thursday, December 14.
The Board of Directors also set meeting dates for 2024. The board will meet on January 11, February 8, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, August 8, September 12, October 10 and November 14. No meeting is scheduled for July. The board will hold its Reorganization/Regular Meeting on December 2. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the cafeteria at South Park High School. Changes to meeting dates and/or locations will be posted on the district’s website.
